Caleylock recommend that clients fit a patented key cylinder whether individually or part of a master system. A patented key is where the manufacturer has registered the design of the key with the patent office. This is done to prevent any illict duplication of keys which would compromise the clients lock or master key system.

The life of a patent is 20 years, clients are recommended to ascertain the remaining period of patent protection before purchasing a master key system. Caleylock carry a comprehensive range of Patented Cylinder Systems, including Rim & Mortice Locks, Cam and Furniture Locks
